Meet Us

Hi there! We are Michele and Ed Duncan… makers, crafters and woodworkers in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. Duncan Craft Company is our craft shop for designing and creating hand-made products, mostly from wood. We both love to make things and building projects is something that we do as a team. Each of us has our favorite (and least favorite) jobs in the shop and we bring our individual creativity to every project we produce.

Michele is a lifelong entrepreneur and maker. She’s owned and run several businesses, including a custom cake shop and a travel blog. A wiz at design and all things social media, she’s the creative spark behind most of the things we do in the shop and how we share them to you.

Making has been a big part of Ed’s history as well. From helping his dad build sheds and decks as a kid, to all kinds of home remodeling projects, he’s been making things with his hands as long as he can remember. Ed also loves technology and engineering. He uses 3D modeling to design pieces and 3D printing and laser engraving to make new parts and to personalize our products.

So that’s a bit about us. We started this journey as an outlet for our creativity and our love of building, but mostly as something we can do together. We hope that you’ll like what we make and take a piece of it into your home or give it someone you love. Seeing our work find its way into the world is super satisfying!
